Vehicle Fuel Efficiency Insights

Learn about the way you drive and how to get the most out of your vehicle with a personalised Service Plus Driving Report.

For Driving Report Eligible Vehicles, Participating Isuzu UTE Dealers can connect advanced diagnostic software with your vehicle and analyse your stored driving data. A personalised Driving Report will be generated from the data, letting you know more about your vehicle usage, as well as useful tips on how to improve the fuel efficiency of your Isuzu D‑MAX or MU‑X.

Driving Reports are only available for Driving Report Eligible Vehicles (see below for details) at Participating Isuzu UTE Dealers#.

Grade Your Drive

Each Driving Report will provide an overall grade and evaluation as well as your results across a variety of key test areas. For each test area you will receive a grade from the below scale, ranging from one star to five stars.

A one star grade means you could improve in that area, whereas five stars means you’re doing an excellent job. Your overall result will be compared against a database of Customer vehicle usage data collected by Isuzu UTE.

Driving Report

Vehicle Speed

This area will provide a breakdown of how often you travel at specific speed ranges.

Idle Time

Too much idling consumes extra fuel unnecessarily. This area will provide you with a breakdown of how much time your engine spends idling. The lower your average idling time the better your grade.

Engine Speed

Over-revving your engine burns through fuel quickly. This area will breakdown the engine Revolutions Per Minute (RPM) ranges you most commonly use and the frequency with which you use them. The more time you spend in the optimum RPM ranges, the better your grade.

Braking

Braking often or braking sharply means you’ll need to burn more fuel to get back up to speed. This area breaks down the number of times you apply the brake and/or brake rapidly. The smoother and less frequently you brake, the better your grade.

Accelaration

Accelerating gently keeps your revs lower and burns less fuel than ‘stomping the pedal to the metal’. This area breaks down the way you accelerate and how often you accelerate rapidly. The lower your rate of acceleration, the better your grade.

Average fuel efficiency

Each of the five key test areas affect your average fuel efficiency. This result shows your fuel efficiency in terms of how many litres of diesel your vehicle consumes every 100km. The fewer litres you consume, the better your result.

Overall grade & total score

The results from the five key test areas are combined to show your overall grade and a total score out of 100.

Vehicle results overview

This area provides an overview of your results in the five key test areas as well as a number of tips on how to continue to perfect your drive.

Graphical snapshot

This graph maps out your results in each of the five key test areas. The larger the shape made by the connecting grade lines, the better you have performed overall.

There are four key test areas covered in this Driving Report. Learnings from these four areas will help you get the best fuel efficiency out of your vehicle.
